More…Mr. Sandip Biswas (Chairman)

Mr. Sandip Biswas is currently the Group Executive Vice President Finance for Tata Steel Limited. In this role, he oversees the Tata Steel Group’s financing strategies, capital structure, mergers and acquisitions, planning and execution of capital raising activities for both debt and equity, liquidity management, foreign exchange risk management, investor relations activities and corporate/legal affairs among other responsibilities. Prior to taking up this assignment, Mr. Biswas was Group Head – Corporate Finance, Treasury and Investor Relations, Chief Corporate Finance and Treasury, and Chief Foreign Exchange & Treasury Management for Tata Steel Limited.

Mr. Biswas is currently also serving as a Director of various Tata Steel subsidiaries and joint ventures both in India and abroad, namely Kalimati Investment Company Limited, Rujuvalika Investments Limited, Tata Steel Holdings Pte. Before taking employment in Tata Steel, Mr. Biswas worked with American Express Bank, ANZ Grindlays Bank, First India Mutual Fund, CEAT Finance Ltd, Usha Martin Industries Ltd and Price Waterhouse.

Mr. Biswas is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and also of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from The University of Calcutta.

Mr. Rajeev Singhal received his degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1985 from Banaras Hindu University, India and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur, India.

In 2002-2003, he completed a 6-week General Management Program at CEDEP, INSEAD, France.

He started his career as Graduate trainee with Tata Steel and through the years, served in various functions such as I.T, Sales, Marketing, Mining and Human Resources.

Presently, he is Vice President (Raw Material), Tata Steel driving many changes to meet the current challenges.

More…Mr. Dibyendu Bose (Director)

Mr. Dibyendu Bose is Group Director (Investments and New Ventures) with Tata Steel.

Mr. Dibyendu Bose is an Engineer from Indian School of Mines and a Post Graduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He has worked with the International Trading Division of Tata Steel since its inception and was instrumental in starting the Chartering Division of Tata Steel in 1992. He served as Tata Steel’s West Asia Representative from 1997 to 2001 in Dubai and Chief of M&S of Tata Pipes from 2001 to 2004. He has been with the Tata Steel Group for the last 28 years in various capacities. In 2002, he was also nominated by Tata Steel for the CEDEP Executive Development program in INSEAD, France and also attended the Tata Group Strategic Leadership Seminar in 2005.

He held the post of Managing Director of TM International Logistics Limited (TMILL), a joint venture company of Tata Steel Ltd, NYK Holding (Europe) BV & IQ Martrade of Germany, from 2006 to 2013. TMILL’s arena of services includes Shipping, Port Operations, Freight Forwarding, Harbour Services and CHA & Inland Logistics.

Mr. Bose is the current Chairman of CII Urbanization and Future City Subcommittee and the past Chairman of the CII Infrastructure & Shipping Sub Committee. He is also an Executive Committee Member of Indian Chamber of Commerce, besides being a Board member of Dhamra Port Company Ltd.

More…Mr. Rajesh Sharma (CEO and Managing Director)

Mr. Rajesh Sharma holds an MBA (Marketing and Operations) from XLRI, Jamshedpur and an Engineering Degree (E &C) from IIT Roorkee. He also successfully completed a scholarship program on globalization and leadership from the London School of Economics in 2002. He has over 20 years’ experience in various businesses with the Tata Group. He has lived and worked in various geographies in the continents of Asia, Africa, North America and Europe.

He joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1991 and then joined the Tata Group Management Cadre TAS in 1998. In November 2010, he was appointed CEO & Managing Director of Tata Steel Minerals Canada. Prior to this, Mr. Sharma was Executive in Charge, Southern Africa for Tata Steel responsible for new investments and acquisitions in mining and minerals related to the steel industry.

Mr. Sharma has diverse cross functional and cross industry experience with the Tata Group. His experience encompasses leading large scale start-up companies, international investments and acquisitions in steel, mining and other businesses, heading global business unit, strategic planning, business excellence, HR, IT, Corporate Affairs, Project Management, Maintenance Management and Marketing and Sales. He is also a regular speaker at business seminars and conferences in connection with the mining industry and has addressed national and international audiences.
